I have seen a rise in the prices of the 80's Kramers over the last couple years on eBay... I say it is because people have realized that quality never goes out of style (for long... ). Bang for the buck... nothing can match an 80's used Kramer - even at the higher prices we are seeing lately! smiley

Everytime I consider buying a new MusicYo Kramer, I talk myself out of it because I can get a vintage Baretta or Pacer on eBay for less $$$.

Case in point is this Baretta:

I watched this one on eBay for quite a while at $500 then down to $450...finally I snagged it at $400 knowing full well it was a mutt.
After all it had a custom C-plate on it (the wider plate like this: http://vintagekramer.com/parts/plate1.jpg)
This guitar plays incredibly and the claw neck is a big reason why. The EMGs provide all the "nastiness" necessary...I sound like Zakk Wylde...just kidding!

Anyways...where are you going to get a top quality guitar like this for $400-$500 ?

Guitar players are simply figuring out what a great value (& just plain cool) these axes are and going for them with more cash.

I am with you on that! smiley

I have had a couple yo Kramers... but they don't stack up the vintage Kramers IMHO.

I do still have the Nightrider (Semi hollow small 335 type) that I like alot... but there isn't a Vintage Kramer to compare it to...
